Temperature of bearings
Friction and heating inside bearings
The temperature of a bearing is a parameter that characterizes heat, and the temperature change of the bearing during operation comes from its own heating and external heat conduction. The heating of the bearing itself is caused by internal friction during the operation of the bearing.
For rolling bearings, the internal friction during operation is mainly composed of four parts:
1. Rolling friction
2. Sliding friction
3. Flow friction
4. Sealing friction
Rolling friction mainly occurs between the rolling element and the raceway, and is related to the load borne by the bearing, the raceway of the bearing, as well as the surface accuracy and lubrication of the rolling element.
Sealing friction mainly refers to the friction between the sealing lip of the bearing and the sealed surface.
